Prehistoric creature, ascendant of the contemporary Nautilus. Ammonites sculpture captivates the contrast of the hard spiralled shell (made in Aluminium) and the fluidity of the soft tissue from the tentacles (made with coloured epoxy). Unique concept of a squid sucker emerging from the ground. Because of the size, bringing to life the whole animal is not (by now…) an option. I wanted to recreate the details of the individual suckers, with different sizes and located along the length of the sculpture. It is a very dynamic piece, with angles…
